There are thousands of shelters but millions of homeless pets. Not to mention countless cases of abuse and neglect. So where are we going wrong?
I believe that we need to expand our focus to more proactive efforts to end the cycles that contribute to pet overpopulation.
This is not a bash on rescues, as reactive efforts are very much needed!!! But we will not make a dent in the problem unless we invest in the future.
